We hope everyone is keeping well and in good spirits.
Here at The Parlour we are using this time to polish and plan our creative adventures so that we’re ready to launch when it’s considered safe.
We realise that we might not be able to deliver our performances in the way that we had planned so we’re making a few changes. Our “Dare the Impossible: Music of Anton Rubinstein” programme has been, optimistically, rescheduled for September 12 th , 7pm.
Our recording project has been moved forward and we are hoping to make a World Premiere recording of Rubinstein’s song cycle Op. 33 alongside Coady Green’s ground-breaking World premiere recording of his Études – which are so difficult, no pianist has attempted this to date!
The timing of this will depend on when we find a way to observe isolation protocols while working in a recording studio environment. We hope that will be quite soon.
Our performances at Melbourne Recital Centre in November are, at this stage, still on the schedule and we are really looking forward to being back in the Primrose Potter Salon which feels like home!
The Parlour has been given a generous gift from a group of supporters, allowing us to pay our performers cancellation fees and has enabled us to plan for our future. We are very grateful!
